This Privacy Policy explains how BrayBill (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our invoicing, payment-link, and client portal services.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers visitors to our website, users who create a BrayBill account, and clients who open an invoice or payment link you send.
2. Information we collect
Account and billing information
When you register or subscribe, we collect your name, email address, password, plan details, and payment records related to your BrayBill subscription.
Business and invoice data
You and your clients may provide client names, emails, addresses, invoice line items, notes, payment confirmations, and uploaded files needed to create and collect on invoices.
Payment information
Card and wallet payments are processed by third-party providers such as Stripe, PayPal, and PayMongo. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. We may store payment status, transaction references, and the gateway you configured.
Technical information
We automatically collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and similar usage data to operate and secure the service. See our Cookie Policy for details on cookies.
3. How we use information
- To create and manage your account and subscription
- To generate invoices, payment links, PDFs, and client portal access
- To process payments through the gateways you enable
- To send transactional emails such as invoices, receipts, and password resets
- To provide support, prevent abuse, and improve the product
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run BrayBill:
- Payment processors — Stripe, PayPal, PayMongo, or banks, when a payment is initiated
- Email and hosting providers — to deliver messages and operate the application
- Your clients — invoice and payment details you choose to send them
- Legal requests — when required by law or to protect our rights and users
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data retention
We keep account and invoice records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward so you can export data or we can meet legal requirements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.
6. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and encrypted storage for sensitive gateway credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at support@braybill.com to make a request.
8. International transfers
BrayBill may process data on servers located outside your country. By using the service, you understand that your information may be transferred to those locations.
9. Children’s privacy
BrayBill is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of BrayBill after an update means you accept the revised policy.
11. Contact
Questions about privacy can be sent to support@braybill.com or through our contact page.
