Cookie Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how BrayBill uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and application.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your session, preferences, and security status. We also use similar technologies such as local storage.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These cookies are required for BrayBill to work. They include:

  • Session cookie — keeps you signed in while you use the dashboard
  • CSRF token — protects forms from cross-site request forgery
  • Authentication cookies — remember that you or a client is logged in

You can block these in your browser, but parts of BrayBill will stop working, including login and checkout.

Preferences

We may store your theme (light or dark) and language choice in local storage so the interface stays consistent across pages.

Analytics and performance

If we enable analytics in the future, those cookies would help us understand which pages are used and how to improve them. We will update this policy if that changes.

3. Third-party cookies

When you or your clients pay an invoice, payment providers such as Stripe, PayPal, or PayMongo may set their own cookies on their checkout pages. Those cookies are controlled by the provider’s policies, not by BrayBill.

4. How long cookies last

  • Session cookies expire when you close your browser or sign out
  • Persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them
  • Local storage remains until you clear it in the browser

5. Managing cookies

When you first visit BrayBill, a consent banner asks you to acknowledge necessary cookies. Your choice is stored in this browser as local storage (braybill-cookie-consent), not as a cookie. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings. You can use private or incognito mode. Blocking necessary cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.

6. Updates

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change how the product works. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.

7. Contact

Questions about cookies can be sent to support@braybill.com or through our contact page.
